Hostess with the Mostess, Rachel Zoe, got stuck in NYC traffic. The show must go on! 2013 Supima Design Competition

Supima. You know, as in Supima cotton...that stuff that comprises the majority of the clothes we wear.... 

So, they have a cool design competition and I was lucky to get invited to this year's presentation at Lincoln Center during New York fashion week.

Supima partnered with: 

The Fashion Institute of Technology 

Kent State University 

The Rhode Island School of Design 

and 

The Savannah College of Art and Design. 

Each school provided 2 top designers, from the graduating class, as finalists in this year's competition....and let me say...

I DON'T KNOW HOW THE JUDGES PICKED A WINNER!

All the designs were wonderfully inventive and interesting. 

And the winner was to be determined by the following panel of judges:

Yes, Rachel Zoe made it in time to catch the show and present the winner, Morgan Selin with her $10K cash prize...so all was well...and somewhere I read that Selin ended up refusing the cash prize??
