...Waffles for Lunch Anyone? - Recipe Post #3

Mmmmm....sometimes waffles with syrup and powdered sugar really hit the spot for a late lunch. I follow the most basic of recipes...

INGREDIENTS:
1 3/4 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon sugar
3 large eggs (lightly beaten)
1 3/4 cups milk
8 tablespoons butter (melted)

Turn your waffle maker on to setting 5 and get it warmed up and ready for the batter...yes...obviously you need a waffle maker to ummmmm....make waffles :o)

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt & sugar. Whisk in the eggs, milk and melted butter and combine thoroughly!

In the waffle maker, cook a ladle full (more or less) on setting 5 for 5 minutes (your waffle maker will beep if it's anything like mine). They should be golden brown and crisp! Yum!!

While the waffles are a'cookin' start melting some butter (as much as you like) with some syrup in the microwave to get a yummy warm buttery, syrupy mixture ready to pour all over your waffles & topped off with some powdered sugar!!

ENJOY!!
