So, SURPRISE! We eloped & hopped on a plane bound for the hot, hot desert. Palm Springs was the destination & the Avalon Hotel was where we lounged poolside. Days spent exploring Joshua Tree and the Desert X art exhibitions, lunching downtown and soaking in that dry heat. I couldn't wait to escape the rain here in the Bay Area and this quick getaway was a welcome vacation for us newlyweds...by the way, for those who are lost, my husband's name is Chris. And he's wonderful. And that's pretty much all that matters...
