Today is the day. After much awaited excitement and anticipation, the new Bloomingdale's store has opened to the public at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto, California.
Annnnnd I was lucky enough to get a sneak preview of the store at an exclusive press preview earlier this week. So, if you can't make it to the grand opening today, after seeing this post, I have a feeling you'll be hitting up the new Bloomies this weekend.

DETAILS OF THE NEW BLOOMINGDALE'S!
- Tri-level store with 125,000 sq. feet of beautiful shopping space.
- 68 designer shops inside featuring over 100 new brands.
- Smart fitting rooms equipped with wall-mounted tablets so customers can look up product info, alternate color/size options, ratings/reviews and recommendations. PLUS customers will be able to tap the touchscreen to call for assistance from their fitting room. Mirrors in each fitting are equipped with touch-screen lighting options! YES, you can adjust the lighting in your fitting rooms! Not to mention, fitting room areas contain communal tables with charging stations. Awesome.
- This is the first fully mobile Bloomingdale's location, allowing for purchases to be made anywhere in the store...no more waiting in line at those registers if you don't want to!
- Cosmetics...wow...they've even incorporated 2 glass-enclosed, private makeover rooms.
